Take #21 Vegas Golden Knights -110 over Calgary Flames (9 PM ET Tuesday, January 29)
The Vegas Golden Knights look to continue their domination of the Western Conference when they visit the Calgary Flames. The puck drops at 9 PM ET at Scotiabank Saddledome where the Golden Knights are -110 on the moneyline compared to -120 for the Flames. The total is 5.5.
Tonight’s game marks the opener of a brutal six-game road trip for Vegas (32-12-2, 13-9-1 road) which will include games against division leaders Winnipeg and Washington along with stops in Minnesota, Pittsburgh and San Jose. The Golden Knights lead the Pacific Division by nine points over the Sharks and are atop the West by two over the Jets.
Calgary (25-16-3, 12-11-2 home) will be out to snap a four-game losing streak. The Flames, who have 58 points, are one back of second-place San Jose and one in front of the LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
One of the big reasons for the Golden Knights first year success has been their balance. They are third in the NHL in scoring with an average of 3.4 goals per game and sixth in defense with a GAA of 2.6 per game. Calgary has struggled on offense and rank #22 with a GPG average of 2.8.
Vegas is 9-1 in its last 10 games against the Pacific Division and 20-7 in its past 27 vs. the Western Conference. The Golden Knights are also 7-3 in their last 10 road games.
Vegas is 6-1 to the UNDER in its last seven against the Western Conference and 4-1 to the low side in their past five vs. the Pacific Division. Calgary has seen its last four home games play to the UNDER.
